Korean Ministry of Education is now accepting applications for qualified English instructor at public schools for 2009.

To be considered for this position, you need to

-have Bachelor’s degree or 2 years associate degree or diploma from an accredited university or college
-have an excellent command of the English language
- be citizens of U.S, Canada, U.K, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Republic of South Africa
- be able to commit to a one-year contract

--Current openings--

Position 1: Public schools in various locations
- Starting Date: End of February, 2009
- Salary: 1.8-2.7 mil won/month (Depends on Qualification)
- Location: various locations including Seoul, Busan, Jeju, and other major and minor cities
- Teaching levels: Elementary, Middle, High schools
- Working Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm or 8:30am-4:30pm
- Teaching Hours: 22 hours per week
- 300,000 won Settlement pay upon teacher is arrival
- Round trip airfare(one way reimbursed upon teacher is arrival and the other will be paid when you complete your contract, or prepaid)
- 100% Severance pay
- 21 working days paid vacation a year and all Korean national holidays
- 50% medical insurance, 50% national pension plan supported
- Full furnished single housing or housing allowance: 300,000 – 500,000 won per month
- Total Deduction (Tax + Medical Insurance + National pension) about 15% of your salary

Position 2.
Public schools in Gyeonggi province: Internship program (candidates with 2 years college diploma)
- Location: All over Gyeonggi-do including Uijeongbu, Pyungtaek, Yongin, Icheon etc
-Distance from Seoul: 30min~1hr by subway or bus
-Age group: Grade 1 st ~6 th / Grade 7 th ~9 th / Grade 10 th ~12 th
-Salary: 1.6/1.7/1.8 mil won per month (depends on Qualifications, please refer to pay scale info below)
-Working hours: Mon- Fri 8:00 am -4:00 pm (Teaching hours: 22 hours per week)
- 300,000 won Settlement pay upon teacher is arrival
- Round trip airfare (one way reimbursed upon teacher is arrival and the other will be paid when you complete your contract, or prepaid)
- 100% Severance pay
- 21 working days paid vacation a year and all Korean national holidays
