Sunny Canadian School in Prague is looking for qualified kindergarten and elementary school teachers for September 2010.
ABOUT OUR SCHOOL:
Sunny Canadian School is an established private English kindergarten and bilingual elementary school located on the outskirts of Prague in the Czech Republic. Our school has a beautiful new school building full of modern equipment and innovative design. We have a specially developed bilingual curriculum which has been approved by the Czech Ministry of Education for over 5 years which focuses on installing a joy of learning in all students. We believe that children learn best while having fun, so we have a very fun, real life curriculum that helps the children to get very excited about gaining knowledge and learning new things.
ABOUT YOU:
We are looking for a fun, enthusiastic, creative teachers who are interested in living in a historical, culture-filled eastern European city for one school year minimum (Mid August 2010 – July 2011). All applicants must be native speakers of the English language. No knowledge of Czech language is required. An adventurous spirit is helpful, but anyone can adapt to life in Prague as many people speak English here, and it is an easy and fun city to live in. Experience teaching young children is required for both Preschool and Elementary positions, and a teaching certificate is required for Elementary School teachers.
IF YOU ARE NEW TO THE AREA:
Travel expenses to the Czech Republic are not paid by our school, but we will help get you settled in once you arrive and can offer help finding accommodation, roommates, etc. Once you arrive, the school will also help you obtain your work permit and residence visa.
COMPENSATION:
*We offer a very competitive salary compared to other schools in the area that allows for living a comfortable everyday life as well as do some traveling on your time off.
*25-30 hours/week, weekdays before 4.
*Paid vacation time.
*Health insurance (once you have received your residence visa)
